Principal's Message

Welcome back to school for the 2022-2023 school year!

With the current ease-back on COVID restrictions, we are pleased to share that we will begin the school year as a “near normal” year for our students, families, and staff. This year our focus is on ensuring safety, well-being, and student learning. At PSS, our teachers and support staff work diligently with the curriculum to improve student learning and achievement.  The partnerships we have with parents, families, and the community are invaluable. We deeply value the importance of working together with home and school to help our students achieve their full potential. In alignment with the Public Schools Branch, our school is committed to fostering an inclusive, diverse, safe, and caring learning environment. By recognizing both our differences and our similarities, amazing things are possible within our school community.

We are looking forward to connecting and reconnecting with families and the community once again as COVID-19 restrictions have eased.  Communication is very important in creating strong connections between home and school. Whether it is through phone calls, emails, or meeting in person, connection is key for the betterment of our students.  We look forward to meeting many of our families at our Meet-the-Teacher evening on Wednesday, September 14th at 5:30 pm and 6:00 pm.  This will be an opportunity to connect with your child’s teacher and school staff as well as provide an opportunity to ask questions or share concerns.
