CORRESPONDENCE:
-January newsletter went home with students.  January
WELCOME:
-Hannah MacKenzie, UPEI student, participating in her practicum observing with 6A (Mrs. White) at various times and days until March. 
-1A students welcomed Hannah Thompson, their new homeroom teacher! Mrs. Sulis is on Maternity Leave! 
-Montana Loughran, UPEI student working on her practicum 3 mornings a week with 2/3Z (Mrs. Lundy).
-Maria de Torres, UPEI student working on her practicum 4 partial morning each week until March Break with 5/6Y (Mrs. Ghiz).
-Caron Pangop, Holland College Youth Services Worker completing his on-the-job training until March.
-A class at Birchwood will be joining 1B once a week for Book Buddies!
JANUARY ACTIVITIES:
-Students will be celebrating the diversity within our school and build on our sense of community. As part of this initiative, all students in each classroom will have the opportunity to reflect on their identities and share who they are. This could include sharing their birthplace, country flag, family traditions, etc. 
-Our PRINCE values have resumed (Proud, Respect, Inclusion, Never Giving Up, Caring and Empathy). On February 7th students will participate in a school assembly focused on our value of Inclusion.  
-This afternoon students will attend an assembly on the Prince Street Value of "Respect."

KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION:
If your child will be 5 years old by December 31, 2025, please drop by the school office to complete a registration form for the 2025-2026 school year. You'll be asked to provide proof of the child's age (i.e. health card) and verification of home address (i.e. utility bill).
